While consulting with the Kuljian Corporation, a multi-discipline
engineering firm in Philadelphia, Holland Architects designed a co-generation
plan for Squibb.
We were asked to tie the architecture of the building
into the existing corporate campus architecture. We had the freedom
to work with textures, materials, and shapes. However, we were asked
to match color and the horizontal precast concrete elements across
the facade.
The program included staff bathrooms, a control room,
as well as durable floor surfaces for the movement of heavy equipment.
Special masonry floors were installed that could withstand corrosive
chemicals.
The approximate construction cost for this project was
$2.5 million.
