This kitchen and home renovation opened up the rear
of the house to their rear yard by removing walls and adding a large
bay window to be used as a breakfast nook.
The round peninsula/preparation area brought one side
closer to the other to reduce walking distance.
The overall design created a large open rear room that
connected the dining room to the kitchen and backyard.
The "wet side" counter top of the kitchen was made with
'Corian,' the "hot side" with granite. The cabinets were finished
with a natural unstained maple. The crown molding matched the cabinets,
but with a cherry accent trim.
The clients have found the kitchen convenient and comfortable
and said that it surpasses their expectations.
