| Computers are central to the high productivity
of Boise·Holland Architects. We began with computer-aided
designing (CADD) in 1988, and continue to explore new software that
claims better features or provides an increase in productivity.
We were the first architects at the University of Pennsylvania to
use the Internet for project management. As we begin a new project,
we set up a project-specific web page for the storage of project
documentation, accessible only by the project team, clients, and
consultants. The page may include contact lists, minutes of meetings,
and other relevant documents. This has improved productivity since
time to send documentation is reduced considerably. Project managers
at the University like the web pages because it puts the project
information at their fingertips. We are fully compatible with any
standard computer system and software, including AutoCAD, PowerCADD,
ArchiCAD, and FormZ on both PC and MAC platforms. As well as CADD,
our project management, spreadsheets, time sheets, book keeping,
financial management, graphics and page layout, and 3D rendering
are all on computer. |
